Invisalign® uses clear plastic aligners to help adults with minor alignment issues to have the winning smile they’ve always wanted. The clear plastic material it hard for the casual observer to even notice you’re wearing them.

To be fitted for Invisalign® your Uinta Orthodontics orthodontist will need to examine your mouth and take a few X-rays. This gives us a clear understanding of the structure of your mouth and also helps to define your alignment goals. They will then form a detailed impression of your teeth, which will serve as a guide for the Invisalign® laboratory that produces your custom sets of aligners.

Each set of aligners is designed to gradually and progressively adjust the periodontal ligaments anchoring your teeth into the sockets. You will need to wear the Invisalign® for 20 to 22 hours a day to minimize the total duration of the realignment process.

After two weeks you will switch to another set of aligners that will bring your teeth a little bit closer to their ideal alignment. Most people meet their alignment goals in around six to eight weeks.

When you have Invisalign® aligners in your mouth, you can drink normally. However, you will need to remove them when eating. You should not smoke and chew gum with the aligners are in your mouth. When you are not wearing the aligners you should keep the aligners in the case provided.

If you are interested in being fitted for Invisalign® you should call Uinta Orthodontics’s office in Evanston, Wyoming at (307) 789-8742 to schedule an appointment.
